How to Register
For Campus classes including ITV, KET, Web-enhanced, Web-local, and In-Person Web-Hybrid, you can you Peoplesoft Self-Serve or you can come to campus and register for regular campus classes as well as Web-KYVC classes.
To use Peoplesoft Self-Serve, you must first contact your advisor, go over your schedule and have your onine registration activated. It is best to have the class numbers
for the courses you plan to take.
Instructions for online registration:
1. Goto SUNRISE (link provided) and log in (use your school username (ID) and password - same as for email)

For a Web-KYVC Online Courses
Internet access and activated KCTCS Student email account address are required for all web-based courses. In addition, all students are subject to Mandatory Placement Policies and Prerequisites. The assessment policies & placement policy may be reviewed on the HCTC web site.
PLEASE NOTE: It is strongly suggested that you enroll for Web-KYVC courses through contact with your advisor and access to your self-serve account (SUNRISE). Please remember that the instructions below are only showing you have to request registration through the KVYC website. You cannot register for classes on the KYVC website.
If you have never visited the KYVC website, you will have to complete the New Learner Course Request Form. You will be given the opportunity to do this when you checkout of the educart.
1. Visit the KYVC web site. and select Program & Courses from the drop down menu to see what classes are available through out the KCTCS system.

2. Scroll down until you see the section labeled KYVC Online Courses, and click on the link View All Courses.

3. Request enrollment for a course by adding it to your Educart. Make sure you check the box by the class, then clcik Add course to Educart. If the class shows as closed you will need to find another class.

New Students are required to complete the new learners request form.
Returning students will need their username and password to login and update their account information.
Upon completion, all course requests are sent to the student's home campus registrar and admissions office. This office will verify prerequisites and register students in the requested course(s). If courses are closed, students are sent emails letting them know the course is closed.
NOTE: Within one week you will want to verify with you advisor or through the SUNRISE system (also referred to as student self-serve) that you are in the class. Do not wait weeks or months before checking, you may not have gotten verified and class may close causing you to lose your spot in that class.
