How do I get my Books?
The way you get your books for your classes depends on the type of classes you are taking. If you are taking Web-KYVC classes you will order your books online. For all other classes you will go through your home college book store.
How Do I Get My Textbooks at HCTC?
The bookstore is operated on the campus by Barnes and Noble for the benefit of the students. The bookstore carries required and recommended textbooks for all courses offered by the College. The bookstore also has a buy-back available any time.
Other items and services offered by the bookstore are: course study aids, guides; College insignia items; nursing supplies; caps and gowns for graduation and a wide selection of miscellaneous school supplies such as pens, pencils, paper, notebooks, etc.
Students with payable financial aid may charge books. To see if you have a complete financial file, please check with your local financial aid office.

Ordering books for Web-KYVC classes
Please be certain to have the following information available when ordering your textbooks for online courses:
- The College delivering the course, course prefix, the course title, and course section.
- If you plan on using financial aid to purchase books they must be ordered and received before the financial aid charge deadline.
When you go to the online bookstore you will enter your information and click go (very similar to screen below). You have the option of checking a box to get a used book if available. From there you can add it to your cart. You can add all the books for only the online classes. When you are finished you will checkout.
When checking out you can check out as a guest or create a login if you will continously plan to take classes online each semester. When checking out as a guest you will have to put your billing, shipping, and payment information in each time. Creating a login will save or store this information.
