Thank you for completing Part 1 of the HCTC Distance Learning Orientation. You can now email your scores (the scores will go to the DL Coordinator) and print your certificate of completion with scores. After you email or print your scores, you can close the window and log off the computer if you are complete. Please feel free to revisit the orientation. If you scored less than 70% it is suggested you go through the orientation again.

To proceed to Part 2 of the HCTC Distance Learning Orientation (Living in Blackboard), click the following link: http://elearning,kctcs.edu

For login purposes, use hctc-guest as the username and guest as the password (all in lowercase). Please realize that passwords are case-sensitive and you may need to check to see if your CAPS lock is on. Then click the My eCommunity Tab, click the HCTC DL Student Orientation course to open Part 2 of the DL Orientation. This log on will allow you to experience the Blackboard environment and things you may experience. To add this orientation to your Blackboard login follow the below instructions:

1. Go to http://elearning,kctcs.edu
2. Login with your Blackboard Login and Password (this is the same as your email username and password
3. Click the My eCommunity Tab
4. Click Browse Organization Catalog
5. A window will appear with a search bar near the top. Leave Name as the first search criterion, Contains as the second criterion, and then type HCTC DL Student Orientation in the open search text box and click GO.
6. The orientation will appear and to the right you will see an enroll button. Click enroll. Then you will need an access to enroll. The access code is DLO (all CAPS). They this and and continue. You will now be able to click the My eCommunity Tab and see the HCTC DL Student Orientation as a permanent listing. Should you ever want this remove contact the Distance Learning Coordinator.
