While the maximum amount of credit granted for cooperative education experience varies by curriculum, the amount may never exceed 8 hours in an Associate of Applied Science Degree or Diploma Program.

Internship/Practicum (Internship/practicum varies by the programs and examples are as follows):
Internships provide students with the opportunity to apply their acquired occupational skills in a realistic setting, therefore, enhancing the transition from school to work. On-the-job experiences in the students’ related field of study are provided. The course and programs will have a variance in required clock hours per credit hour which is approved by the WBL Coordinator and the Program Coordinator for the field of study. Some internships are only offered on a pass/fail basis only while practicum experiences are offered on a graded basis.

A Work Based Learning Agreement (signed by student, faculty member, and supervisor) is required and mandated as part of the program.
