Email and Student Self Service About?
Student Email

To facilitate communication among the Hazard
Community and Technical College students, faculty and staff, each
student will receive a KCTCS email address.
The primary purpose behind the email accounts
will be to facilitate students communications with the System,
college, faculty, counselors and other students. KCTCS students
across the Commonwealth will have quick and easy access to grade
reports, schedules, schedule changes, bills and billing changes
via email.
The student ID will be given to the student
once they have registered for their classes. This number
can be found on your schedule on the top left corner under EmplID.
This number will allow you to activate your email account or change/reset
your password.

Student Self
Service
Student self service permits you to do the following:
Finances
You can view your account summary/balance for each term and your
financial aid information by aid year.
Academics
You can view your schedule, grades and information about your
advisor
Course Catalog
and Schedule
You can view the course catalog that provides a description of
the courses available throughout the system.
Once you have completed the email activation your Student Self
Service logon/password is the same as your email.
Click on Sunrise Home and
choose the Activate student records option and it will take you
to the login page.
