Applying to be a Part-time Instructor

Some of the partners in the growing, dynamic University Center of the Mountains consortium may desire to hire part-time faculty to teach as programs are expanded in the Kentucky River Area Development District.   In addition to other accreditations, all of the partners are accredited by the Commission of Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), thus, their faculty must meet SACS hiring criteria.

You are invited to contact the University Center of the Mountains administrative offices in the J. Marvin Jolly Classroom Center on the Hazard Campus of HCTC, if you are interested in teaching in postsecondary education.   The staff will gladly forward your request to the appropriate partners.   Please contact Ron Daley at (800) 246-7521 ext. 73158 or (606) 487-3158 or by email at Ron.Daley@kctcs.edu

An application to teach at HCTC is attached in an Adobe Acrobat reader file.   To complete your application it is necessary to have the registrar's offices at the postsecondary institutions you attended to send official transcripts to the Academic Deans office, Hazard Community and Technical College , One Community College Drive , Hazard , Kentucky 41701 .   This application may be forwarded to other UCM partners at your request.

The following link will take you to the SACS faculty criteria section listed on page 24 of the "Principles of Accreditation:  Foundations for Quality Enhancement."  http://www.sacscoc.org/pdf/PrinciplesOfAccreditation.PDF
