Facilities Usage and Rates

ALL HCTC FACILITIES ARE CLOSED SUNDAY

HCTC facilities are not available for rent on Sundays, holidays, and KCTCS designated closing days for non-college related activities, programs, or events.

Below are the rates listed for facilities usage at HCTC locations.  Please contact the Auxiliary Services department to reserve a facility.

INSURANCE REQUIREMENT

Prior to final execution by the college, the customer is required to provide proof of the following:

  • $1 million in liability event insurance required for non-public entities;
  • HCTC/KCTCS must be listed as additional insured;
  • The insurance policy period must cover all dates the customer will use HCTC/KCTCS property under this agreement.

College-wide Rates

Classrooms  $15 per hour 
Computer labs $40 per hour ($25 per hour for non-profits) 
ITV rooms $75 per hour
ITV technician $25 per hour
IT technician $25 per hour

Other fees/requirements

  • Maintenance and Operations rates
    • $20 per hour Monday - Friday
    • $30 per hour overtime rates for evenings and Saturdays
  • All events are to end by 11:00 p.m. Any exceptions must be approved prior to the event.

Hazard Campus Rates

One fee to include:

  • Room rental, furniture, microphone with sound, skirting

Non Profits

  • Non-profits - 1/2 rate

All banquet rooms/rental space (all 5 banquet rooms)
$800 per day (two days to set up if needed -1/2 charge for other days)

Main large banquet room/rental space (123A – large wood floor)
½ day (4 hours or less) @ $200
Full day (4 or more hours) @ $400

Small banquet room(app.40 people) / 119P rental space / (app.30 people)
½ day (4 hours or less) @ $80
Full day (4 or more hours) @ $150

Joint small banquet rooms (123B&C or 123D&E) (app. 80 people)
½ day (4 hours or less) @ $160
Full day (4 or more hours) @ $300

First Federal cafeteria
$25 per hour

Jolly Auditorium (app. 120 people)
½ day (4 hours or less) @ $80
Full day (4 or more hours) @ $150

Commodore Conference Room
$25 per hour

UCM area rental space (app. 40-70 people)
½ day (4 hours or less) @ $75
Full day (4 or more hours) @ $150

  • Fee for extras
    • Table cloths $12 (includes linen napkins)
    • Av equip $80 (lap top / projector)
    • Other equipment (staging, piano, tv, vcr)
  • Limit event closing time – Except Gala events
  • All events are to end by 11:00 p.m. Any exceptions must be approved prior to the event. 
  • No charge for non-profits using space for meetings less than 2 hours-$25 usage fee for longer use

Knott County Rates

Opportunity lobby $25 per hour 
Big Room $40 per hour 
School of Craft gallery $25 per hour
Craft courtyard $15 per hour
