Web-KYVU
Online
This class section number is designated with a "Z" in the section.
For example, Introduction to Computers would be CIS 100 45Z1 [the
45 means it is delivered by Hazard Community College].
This
class section number is designated with a "Z." For instance, 75Z1
means that this class is delivered by Madisonville (75) and that
it is a fully online class (Z). Some Faculty may require a proctored
mid-term and final exam. For more information on proctoring sites,
click
here . Information on individual class requirements will be
given in a class.
Web-Enhanced
This class section does not contain the letter "Z" because you must
physically go to class on campus, but the instructor "enhances"
the class by having students go online for various parts of the
class such as discussion, quizzes, lecture notes, etc.
Web-Local
This class section also contains the letter "Z" because even though
the class is delivered mostly online, the instructor requires at
least one campus visit.
For
a Web-based class, the student must have an " Active
Student E-mail " address and a " Computer
and Internet Access ."
Hybrid
Classes
Hybrid
classes are essentially web-local classes that have several class
meetings throughout the semester. This class section does contain
the letter "Z" in the section even though a portion [usually half
or more] of the class is delivered online. This allows the students
who are not quite yet ready to take completely online classes to
have that phyical class connection while completing many assignments
online.
